Working with Dermalogica is super fun and getting the newest products to try is always exciting, but what’s even more exciting is being sent a birthday present from them! Beth, Lizzy and Rebecca at the PR team are just fab and I received a little birthday treat which honestly made my day when it arrived!
I got a sweet little birthday card, a gorgeous mug which is too cute for me to use as an actual mug (will 100% display this in my office) and their Biolumin-C Serum. I’ve not really tried many vitamin c serum’s, apart from one I reviewed on my Instagram, so I thought I’d give it a go and trial it in my skincare routine.
The thing I noticed when I first tried this was that it had a slight scent of oranges which was actually quite pleasant. It also looked like it’d be quite oily and somehow thick but it applied to the skin feeling really smooth and not oil what so ever. It wasn’t thick at all like I thought as it absorbed easily into my skin. The handy little dropper is good to precisely apply it over your face without using too much, I tend to use a drop on my forehead and chin and then 2 drops on each cheek and then massage all over and down my neck.
Directions of this say to apply as the last step, before moisturiser, in your skincare routine and it really freshes and hydrates your face, especially in the mornings. I cleanse with a Dermalogica product and then moisture with the Intensive Moisture Balance so this product fits right in as a miracle skincare trio.
I am pleasantly surprised that this added step in my routine has made my skin look a lot brighter and not as tired. Its aim is to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and it firms the skin too, part of their Age Smart range. It also hasn’t dried out my skin or made it irritated, which is good when it comes to someone who suffers from their dry skin.

As soon as I saw they’d launched this product, I already knew it’s something I would absolutely love. I definitely need to get my hands on it! I love any skincare that has Vitamin C in, it just makes your skin look so radiant – plus it smells amazing. It’s so cute that they sent you a birthday present as well, how lovely!

My skin reacts really badly to all vitamin C products so this one isn’t for me unfortunately but I think it’s super cute of them to send it as a little birthday present, they sound like an amazing PR team x

This sounds amazing! I’ve always wanted to try Dermatologica, and I’m currently looking into changing skin care brands, so maybe I’ll try it?
