Ever since I was little I’ve always wanted long hair but I’ve never been patient enough for it to grow to my desired length. Back in January, I was asked by a PR agency if I wanted to try out and review hair extensions for one of their clients, Hairtrade.
About the company & products
Hairtrade is an online retailer specialising in all things hair, weaves and wigs as well as hair care and stocking some beauty products. Hosting a free colour sampling service, free delivery on orders over £30 and 5-star trust pilot review. I was gifted the I&K Clip In Human Hair Extensions in shade 24 which is a light blonde colour. This was the straight version but since it is real human hair you are able to curl it or style it however you desire. For a full head set, it costs £39.99, and you’ll get free delivery!
First Impressions
The hair extensions came packaged in a long cardboard box so that the hair wasn’t folded and comprised during shipping and I couldn’t believe how soft the hair was. As previously mentioned, I’ve never had hair extensions before so I wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of the quality and softness. Staying on the topic of not having hair extensions before, I was completely clueless when it came to putting them in. Each piece has a clip on the root but I was still confused at how to section the hair. Luckily on the website, there is a video walkthrough on how to use the clip ins and the best way to section off your hair. I followed this and it really helped but it just takes some time to get the extensions in a comfortable position and to make sure that your actual hair covers the clips.
Overall Thoughts
I’m more than pleased with these hair extensions! I didn’t use all of the pieces of hair so if you wanted more of a full volume look, using all of the pieces would make it look a little less thin. The main thing I was super happy with is the colour match and how perfect it was to my natural hair colour. Clipping them in wasn’t as much hassle as I thought either and it blended out with my hair so well. I love how long they make my hair and they’d definitely worth the price when some hair extensions can be really pricey. If you’re on a budget, looking for good quality human hair extensions then Hairtrade is the place to go!

Don’t forget my social media;
They seem awfully thin for a full head of hair ?

They look so natural and suit you so much, Ellie! They sound really easy to clip in, comfortable to wear and they blend in really well. It’s great that they have a tutorial on their website, I wouldn’t have a clue how to clip them in either, ha ha. You look lovely, thanks for sharing! ❤ xx

You hair looks so good longer! They look really natural too. I love having naturally long hair but sometimes I wish it was shorter so I could play around with it more x

I was going to get permanent extensions when thinking about changing my hair but they were so damn expensive and such high maintenance, these look like such a good alternative for such a good price, too! I’ve literally just chopped my hair off today, wish I’d seen this earlier…
