I’ve only had a couple of shifts at my new job but I already have a little routine before work and that includes doing my makeup which I thought i’d show you what I have in my makeup bag for work!
The makeup bag I like to use is this cactus design one from She In The Home. I featured one of their cushions in last Saturday’s post How To Keep Your Room Tidy! and just wanted to reiterate how cute all of the items in the store are so please go and check out Rebecca’s shop! The actual bag is a lovely pastel pink colour with gold detailing, the material feels proper durable and is a really good size for an everyday full face. It only costs £8 which is so good if you don’t want to break the bank and in doing so you’re also supporting a small business and fellow blogger. If you do want 10% off use the code ‘thediaryofellie’ at checkout!
Starting off with foundation, i’ve been loving the Bareminerals barepro foundation ever since I bought it which I reviewed a while ago. It’s my everyday go to foundation because it lasts throughout the day, copes with my dry skin and gives a nice finish to the face.
I also love to use the Revolution conceal & define concealer under my eyes as well as the MUA pro-base eye primer to prime my lids ready for eyeshadow. Speaking of eyeshadow I do tend to use a variety of palettes depending on my mood but one palette which I do tend to reach for more often is the Revolution x Soph palette. The shades are pretty and really easy to work into a simple makeup look. I never go too over the top and a light shimmer shade usually is my go to!
For contour i’m always using the Seventeen define & conquer kit which actually costs £1.20 whilst Boots are trying to get rid of the stock since Seventeen is being discontinued 😦 But for highlight I do have a few different ones I use but my favourite is the Kat Von D metal crush highlighter in the shade gold skool. This is more of a glitter base highlighter but it’s gorgeous and I adore it! I reviewed it here.
Moving onto the mascara in the bag, I have Too Faced better Than Sex at the moment but that changes regularly. I always use two mascara’s but the one that i’ve been using a lot lately is this Too Faced one and that just so happens be in the bag at the moment.
The final 2 things are setting spray and lipstick. I use the MUA Fixing Mist which is so affordable and so good. I prefer this over the Urban Decay All Nighter spray. For the lipstick it changes all the time depending on the condition of my lips or the eye look i’ve gone for. However, the one I have is the Revolution matte lipstick in the shade Chauffer. It’s the perfect pinky nude which isn’t too brown nor too pink!
Do you have a little collection that you use for work or school? Do you keep it in a cute makeup bag like me, let me know below!
