What’s a fun thing to do on Sunday night? Lounge about hoping Monday morning won’t come round or try making cocktails? Well that’s what me and my Mom did!
Since turning 18 last year I’ve found a love for cocktails, especially purple rains. Me and my Mom both love buying cans of cocktails from Asda but I thought i’d buy some ingredients to have a home-made cocktail evening and I picked 3 recipies off various different websites, mainly all found through Pinterest.
All you need for this are cocktail glasses (or normal glasses if you don’t have cocktail ones), alcohol, various fruit juices, fruit slices and ice if you like! Don’t think you need to go out and buy cocktail shakers because you really don’t!
The first recipe, named Ocean Breeze, is made with a few different ingredients taken from here.
- Vodka- 25ml
- Cranberry Juice- 62ml
- Pineapple Juice- 62ml
- Blue curacao liquer- half an oz
- Lime slices & ice cubes (optional)
Still keeping with the theme of ‘breeze’, I found one named Tropical Bay Breeze, taken from the same website as the Ocean Breeze, here. Most of the ingredients are the same too so you can just reuse what you didn’t when making the Ocean Breeze!
- Pineapple juice- 50ml
- 100ml cranberry juice
- Coconut Malibu Rum- 25ml
- Ice cubes (optional)
- If you want to make a garnish; pineapple, cherry & orange
A recipe me and my Mom have kind of made up ourselves is for a purple rain!
- 2 shot glasses of blue curacao
- 2 shot glass of cherry sourz
- Top up with lemonade
