There’s been a few bits from Tarte I’ve been eyeing up for a while but didn’t know how the shipping worked because Tarte’s an American brand. I ordered and hoped for the best. It took around a week to arrive, with free shipping over $40. I did expect custom charges but there weren’t any which was a bonus! Custom charges are so off putting ugh.
When it arrived, the box was cute with lip prints on and was very nicely packaged in some tissue paper- it came with a courier too with tracking details.I feel like, with Tarte, the packaging sells it. Of course the products are high quality but the packaging of all their products are such a high standard as well as beautiful. I ended up getting the Shape your money maker eye & cheek palette (£30) and the Limited edition gifted Amazonian clay smart mascara (£21).
With the gorgeous palette, there’s 3 shimmery eyeshadows, 3 matte ones, a highlighter and a contour powder. The contour powder looked dauntingly dark but it does blend quite well. The eyeshadows are so pigmented it’s amazing. For £30 it’s such a nice little trio type product.
The mascara is just wow. The packaging is a limited edition packaging and it’s price is similar to the high end Benefit and Too faced. It gives amazing length and a bit of volume too, it’s not clumpy at all and makes my eyelashes look all fluttery and nice! I think i’d go as far to say that I prefer this over my much beloved, holy-grail They’re real mascara by benefit. The wand is quite thing, long and very sturdy.
If you’ve been looking to order from Tarte but was worried about the shipping, i’d say wait for free shipping on anything if you only want one product, or if you want to stock up then take advantage of the free shipping over a certain amount! It’s definitely worth it and i’ve heard that Tarte has now been launched on CultBeauty!
