Forget beauty subscription boxes, period subscription boxes are a thing? If you’re as shocked and confused as I was, you need to keep reading.
A load of bloggers I read had reviewed a thing called the Betty Box, after reading more reviews I gathered that they were a monthly subscription box for periods. When Katie from the company got in contact with me asking me to review one of the boxes, I was excited!
The box is £12.99 a month or you can have subscriptions for 3 or 6 months and you save a bit of money. The idea behind the box is that you get supplies for your period and you’re able to pick which brands you want and wether you use pads, tampons or both! The customisation of this is good because if you don’t like a certain brand, you get to choose from a few.
The box comes neatly in sections with little boxes for night, for now, for later and for you. There’s also an information leaflet telling you about the products that you get in the ‘for you’ box.
I love the fact that you get a box of little gifts each month because periods can be dreadful so having a few little surprise items can make it that little bit better. In this months subscription box, there were some cool gifts. In there was a hair and scalp mask, refreshing eye pads, a herbal tea, a fountain pen, liquid lipstick and a Nip+Fab face wash! Little thoughtful products like this are honestly the cutest and have to be my favourite thing about the Betty Box.
The next things are obviously the essentials of every period- pads or tampons. I was sent the pad selection and was quite happy with the amount I got! The cutest thing was the spotty little pouch that contained a few day pads and some liners- I’m pretty sure these are Always. The bag is a little drawstring bag which will be SO handy to just put in my bag or throw into the bathroom. It’s the little things about this subscription box which make it so different from anything else i’ve ever seen or heard of.
There’s also a box that’s for night time which includes some specific pads for night time. The little cardboard box is handy again to just leave in your room or in your bathroom. There’s also another box with the same day pads as there are into the little pouch. There’s quite a few and these are also good to keep in your bathroom.
Everything about this box is super cute from the design down to the little gifts. It’s definitely something I wish I had when I first started my period because it would’ve helped me so much. It’s also such a discreet box if you don’t really like talking about your period. If you head over to their website here, you can find out so much information about periods and some lifestyle posts too.
The company were also really kind and provided me with a discount code to get 20% off your first box- just use the code BB20.
I’d love to know your thoughts on this kind of subscription box, i’m amazed at how good this box is seriously! Thank you for reading.

These are such a great idea. It’s nice that you get some treats and beauty bits in there, I’m not sure it would be worth the cost otherwise but it’s brilliant. You’ll never be caught off guard if it’s on your doorstep every month! x

Such a gorgeous box, but can’t help but feel it’s quite expensive! There’s no way I spend £12.99 each month on supplies, so not sure it’s practical for some people. Which is unfortunate as it’s a lovely idea!

I think it’s more so the beauty bits which make the box worth it, as well as p&p included! But of course, I know when I was younger if I wanted this Id have to ask my parents to buy it! I think it’s a nice little one of thing, rather than something any month!x

omfg this is the best subscription box idea ever! If only I had something like this when I was a teenager! Like seriously, I don’t particularly want to bleed out and suffer pain for a week every single month when mother nature could just shoot me an email to say I’m not pregnant… having a little treat box sent to me would deffo make that time of the month a little more fun and special.
It is a little expensive though – but I like that they put in beauty and hair products as well so I can kind of see why the pricec is a little high.
Great post Ellie!!! xxx
